I first made this butter board dessert version for a summer brunch & everyone loved swirling their toast in the rich and creamy layers. It's become my go-to showstopper for spring and holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

  • Flavoured Cream Cheese: 250 g (8 oz) cream cheese softened, 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup, 1 tsp pure vanilla extract, zest of 1 small lemon (optional)
  • Toppings: 150 g (1 cup) mixed fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries), 2 tbsp chopped toasted pistachios or almonds, 1 tbsp dried edible rose petals (optional), 2 tbsp mini chocolate chips or shavings, 2 tbsp granola (optional), 1 tbsp fresh mint leaves torn
  • To Serve: 1 French baguette or loaf of brioche sliced and lightly toasted, extra honey or maple syrup for drizzling
