# Preparation Steps:
01 - Bring a medium pot of salted water to a boil. Add elbow macaroni and cook until al dente according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
02 - Melt butter in the same pot over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly to form a roux.
03 - Gradually whisk in whole milk, ensuring no lumps form. Cook, stirring frequently, until the mixture thickens, about 3 to 5 minutes.
04 - Reduce heat to low. Stir in cheddar and mozzarella cheeses, salt, black pepper, and paprika until fully melted and sauce is smooth.
05 - Add drained macaroni to the cheese sauce and stir to coat evenly.
06 - If desired, preheat broiler. Mix breadcrumbs with melted butter and sprinkle over pasta in an oven-safe dish. Broil for 2 to 3 minutes until golden brown.
